NOTICE REQUIRED!
Please be aware that with the activity growth throughout Monterey County, same-day inspections are impossible. At least 72 hours advance notice is required. To schedule an inspection, please send an e-mail to art@carmelfire.com. Telephone inspection requests will not be accepted.

BE READY!
The specialty contractor (sprinkler, alarm, etc) needs to be present at all inspections. Documentation required at all inspections are the building permit card and a copy of the stamped, approved plans. For final inspections, additional documentation may be required; check the plan check list that accompanies the approved plans for specific requirements.
Inspections that fail because the job is not ready to inspect will be charged at the rates shown as an additional charge.

FEES
As of 1 July, NEW INSPECTION RATES APPLY.
All inspections will be $75 per inspection plus mileage, round trip, charged at 67c per mile.
Please note that jurisdictions with current contract rates will not be affected by this change.
